Cookies are small files a site asks your browser to store, and local storage is a similar mechanism that keeps a value on your device. This site uses one essential local storage entry, and one optional category of advertising cookies.

Nothing on this page is required to view the site, and no optional cookie is set until you choose Accept all in the banner.

A single local storage entry named pmc_cookie_consent records which choice you made in the banner, so it does not reappear on every page you visit. It contains no personal information and no identifier that could be used to recognise you elsewhere.

Essential storage cannot be turned off from within the site, because the banner would then have no way to remember your preference. Clearing your browser storage removes it and resets the banner.

Advertising keeps the calculators free, and it is served through Google AdSense. When you accept, Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers on your device to measure ad performance and to serve advertising, including personalized advertising based on your visits to this and other sites where the law allows it.

If you choose Essential only, personalized advertising is not used for you. Non-personalized advertising may still be shown. You can also manage personalization directly with Google and the industry opt-out tools:

We do not currently run a third-party analytics package on the calculators. If we add one, it will be optional and consent-based, and this page will list the provider, the cookie names, and their lifetimes before it goes live. Aggregated usage information may be provided to us by our advertising partner as part of ad reporting.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner and choose again, or clear your browser storage to reset the choice entirely.

Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies for all sites, and Google provides its own controls for advertising. Blocking cookies does not stop the calculators working, because the calculations run in your browser rather than in a cookie.

If the cookies we use change, this page is updated and the revision date at the top changes with it. Because advertising cookies are listed here by category and purpose, a new advertising or analytics provider will be added to this page before it is used.
