Privacy Policy

ProMaterialCalc is a free, browser-based estimating tool. The dimensions you type into a calculator never leave your browser, we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal information.

The site is supported by advertising, which means our advertising partner may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure and serve ads. Everything optional is explained below, and you can decline it from the cookie banner.

Lengths, widths, depths, material choices, and the waste factor are processed entirely in your browser to produce your results. They are not transmitted to us and are not stored on our servers, and clearing the page clears them.

One exception is worth knowing about: when you use the shareable link on a results panel, your dimensions are encoded into the link itself. That is how the link reopens the same estimate on another device, and it also means anyone you send the link to can see those dimensions. Do not share an estimate link if the project details are sensitive.

Printing or saving an estimate as a PDF happens on your own device. Nothing about the print job is sent to us.

The only place the site asks for personal information is the contact form. If you use it, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you type, and we store them so we can read the message and reply to you.

We use that information only to answer you and to correct our data where relevant. We do not add contact form addresses to a mailing list, we do not sell them, and we do not share them except where the law requires it.

The calculator itself runs on essential browser storage, which records your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Optional advertising cookies are only set after you accept them.

The cookie policy lists what each category does and how to change your choice at any time.

Advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure how those ads perform. Where local law requires consent, personalized advertising is only used after you accept it in the banner; if you decline, non-personalized advertising may still be shown.

We do not currently run a third-party analytics package on the calculators. If that changes, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated before it is switched on.

You can review or change how Google personalizes advertising for you at any time, and opt out of participating advertisers through the industry opt-out tools:

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal information that identifies you. The only such information we hold is anything you chose to send through the contact form.

• Access and portability: ask for a copy of the message data we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
• Erasure: ask us to delete your message and contact details, which we will do unless we are required to keep them.
• Objection and restriction: ask us to stop using or to limit how we use your information.
• Withdraw consent: change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
• Non-discrimination: we will not degrade the calculators for anyone exercising these rights.
• Complaint: if you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on a correction or an ongoing question, and are deleted once they are no longer needed. Cookie preferences stay in your browser until you clear them. Data held by our advertising partner is governed by that partner's own retention policy.

These tools are intended for adults working on construction and landscaping projects. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us a message, contact us and we will delete it.

Where we link to a supplier, standards body, or advertiser, that site is governed by its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your information.

If our practices change, this policy is updated and the revision date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting advertising or analytics are reflected here before the change takes effect.

Privacy questions, access requests, and deletion requests can all be sent through the contact page. We aim to respond within two business days.
